Refunds and cancellation

How billing works

Typist Pro is $4.99 per month. Stripe charges the card when you subscribe and on the same day each month after that, until you cancel. The price shown in Stripe's checkout is the one that applies.

Before subscribing you can use the Free plan, which allows 300 words a day and 3 synced snippets, for as long as you like.

Cancelling

Cancel from the account row at the bottom of the Typist side panel, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges.

After you cancel, Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no partial month: you keep what you bought, and no further charge is made. When Pro ends the account returns to the Free plan, which allows 300 words a day. Snippets you saved beyond the free limit of three are not deleted — they stay on your account, keep syncing to your devices, and you can still open, edit, and delete them. What changes is that you cannot save a new snippet until you are back under three.

Refunds

If Typist is not what you expected, write to [email protected] within 14 calendar days of a charge, from the email address on the account, and we will refund that charge in full. You do not need to give a reason.

Outside that window, refunds are at our discretion — ask, and we will look at it. We aim to reply within 3 business days. Approved refunds are returned by Stripe to the original payment method, and usually take 5–10 days to appear depending on your bank.

If the service is broken and we cannot fix it for you, tell us — we will refund the affected period whether or not the window above has passed.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it. If it keeps failing the subscription ends and the account returns to the Free plan. You can subscribe again at any time.

Your statutory rights

Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law where you live. Some countries give buyers a statutory right to cancel a purchase within a set period, and some give rights to a remedy when a service is faulty. Where any such right applies to you it applies in full, on top of the refund offer above, and where it gives you more than this page does, it is the one that counts.
